What are other actors doing to prepare for opening night? How do they mark up their scripts, learn their lines, and create their characters? What research are they doing on the history of a play, or its setting? How do they know how to make words on a page come alive, and sound as real as conversations with your friends? How do they make you hang on their every word, even if you know how the story ends?

Training as an actor has shaped all areas of my life, feeding neatly into my understanding of character and story, and enriching my perspective as an actor, writer, and director.
